Chapter 3 :: The Shadows Lurk

MAKOTO "MIYOKO LOOK OUT!!"
MIYOKO Makoto pushed me out of the way.
SOUND BAM!
MIYOKO He get slammed right into a building. "MAKOTO!" I ran to him dodging the attacks the monster was doing.
MAKOTO "Miyoko you need to get out of here, they want you and they wont stop until they get you."
MIYOKO I picked him up and popped my wings out. "Your coming with me idiot." He was in so much pain and I flew us to my house and got us into my room before the monster could see. We were save. I laid Makoto on the couch in my room, I had flew onto the balcony to my room so Noriko would not see. She would flip if she found him in my room. "Stay here and stay quiet or ill smack you." I jumped off my balcony and walked in threw the front door.
NORIKO "Princess! Your home! How was your first day?"
MIYOKO "It was fine, I have a lot of homework so I will be in my room, don't bother coming to my room for the rest of the night, I mean it."
NORIKO "But what about dinner?"
MIYOKO "I'm not hungry" I ran to my room. I walked over to Makoto dragging a chair and sat down next to him. "You okay?" He opens his eyes.
MAKOTO "Yeah."
MIYOKO A awkward silence grew.
MAKOTO "Why?"
MIYOKO "Why what?"
MAKOTO "Why would you help me? I thought you hated me?"
MIYOKO I glared at him. "Of course I hate you, but that's still no reason for you to get killed unless its me doing it." He smirked. "Stop with that smirking or ill smack it right off you." I said with another glare. He still smirked.
MAKOTO "So cute, even when your angry."
MIYOKO I smacked him straight across the face, even tho the monster had damaged it enough.
MAKOTO "OW!!!!"
MIYOKO He held his face. Lucky for me my house is big enough no one can hear him unless he had a bull horn. My room was the only room on the 2nd floor. Noriko normally falls asleep on the couch downstairs which should be now. "I told you to stop! Suck it up you big baby!" He tries to sit up but is in so much pain. "Stop moving." I helped him sit up fully. I stood up and started to walk away and said "Take off you shirt."
MAKOTO "What?"
MIYOKO He sounded a little nervous. "Don't think anything perverted! I'm going to bandage your wound you idiot!" I turned around. His face was a red. He started to take his shirt off and I went into my bathroom to get some bandages. I came back out and sat in the chair next to him and started bandaging him up. "That monster really got you bad. So what did you mean? They want me?"
MAKOTO "That thing you called a 'monster' are shadows. And you Grandfather sent them after you."
MIYOKO "My, Grandfather?" I stopped bandaging him up for a second. "Why would he do that?"
MAKOTO "Because he is evil. Your grandfather, Yuu, was a terrible man and made the underworld a horrible place, believe it or not, the underworld was a happy place for us, the demons, reapers like me, and vampires like you. I had met Yuu when I was only 10 before my family came to live in the human world. Just being around him I new he was no good. He had your father and the reapers give the souls from the dead to him. Yuu feed from those souls and it made him stronger. He wanted to use that power to destroy both the Heavens and the Human world and expand the Underworld. Your father never told him about you when because he new what his father would do. But as time went on and your father became king Yuu eventually found out and sent his minions to the human world to kill you. When he was king he had a secret project going on to create, what we just saw, the shadows. Once he found out about you they were finished and used them to find you and kill you."
MIYOKO I finished bandaging him up and stood up. "How can I beat them?" He stood up.
MAKOTO "I'm hungry."
MIYOKO I turned around mad. "Makoto!! How do I beat them!?" He walked over to my bed and laid down.
MAKOTO "If I new do you think I would have told you back then?"
MIYOKO I walked out of my room and sneaked down to the kitchen to get food. I came back with some left overs, sushi, my favorite. "I brought the left overs." I set it on the table next to me and looked at my bed and Makoto was laying under the covers sleeping. "What the heck!! You lazy jerk!" I grabbed a pillow off my couch and threw it at him. "Get out of my bed you idiot!" He falls on the floor laughing. I brought the sushi over. "Here!" I handed it to him and he takes it.
MAKOTO "Sushi?"
MIYOKO "If you don't like it then tough that's all you get." He chuckles.
MAKOTO "I love sushi, its my favorite."
MIYOKO I sit on the floor in front of him. "Mine to." He picks one up and holds it in front my mouth.
MAKOTO "Open"
MIYOKO "Your going to feed me now?"
MAKOTO "Just open"
MIYOKO I took my hand and pushed the sushi he was holding in front of my mouth into his face, got up, and walked to my walk in closet. I come back out with my shorts and t-shirt on for my pajamas. "Your going to have to stay here, your to injured to go back home." I looked at him and he was looking and me with his face that was red. "What!?"
MAKOTO "Nothing, dang calm down"
MIYOKO He said putting the plate on the table next to him. He stood up. He jumps on my bed. "What in the world, do you think your doing!?"
MAKOTO "Going to bed what else?"
MIYOKO He got all comfy. "Makoto you are not sleeping in my bed you little perv!" I kicked him off and jumped in my bed. "Your sleeping on the couch!"
MAKOTO "Grumpy"
MIYOKO He said and crawled over and laid on the couch. That was such a crazy night for me, what in the world is going to happen tomorrow?
